CRAZY LADY BLUES
Music & Lyrics by Christy

Crazy lady has got big hair
Everybody's gonna stop and stare at her
In the morning sun

She's sleepin' out
But she ain't got the blues
Everybody's got alot to lose
Except her
In The morning sun

And that's why, I'll try
And ask no reasons why
Why it's so hard
Hard to
To choose

Everybody's on the move
Keepin' time, but never hit the groove
We're just slaves
To the moon & sun

Find your break, you'll want to be a star
Take your plane, but you won't get too far
And you'll crash
When the morning comes

And that's why, I try
And ask no reasons why
Why it's so hard
Hard to
To Lose

Count the days like they can't come too soon
But when they're gone, you sing another tune
About loss
To the heartless sun

See the storm and you will run and hide
One day soon you're gonna be locked inside
On your own
No more warming sun

And that's why, I try
And ask no reasons why
Why it's so hard
Hard to
To Try

Why it's so hard
Hard to
To Die

credits

from Shine & Rise, released November 3, 2009
Composed, arranged, produced & performed* by Christy.

Bass, drums & rhythm guitar cut live at Orange & Blue studios, Catford, Aug 2007. Additional overdubs completed at MileHighStudio.

Written in 5 minutes on a sunny late afternoon in Shepherds Bush whilst waiting waiting waiting for a band rehearsal to happen...

*additional players:
Fabulous Drums - Andre St. Clair Dyer (Drezone)
Spontaneous Bass - James Tobin
A big thank-you to both for their playing on this track. Neither knew the song, but testament to their skills, we jammed it once or twice, then nailed it in two or three takes, 20 minutes from start to finish.
